What a gem! We were on our way home from a nature walk and there were 4 very hungry humans in the car (+ a dog). I found the Hudson Oven and oh boy. The food was delicious and the service amazing. My husband had the meatloaf sandwich, the kids had the chicken nuggets and me being the vegetarian, I had the avocado toast. Everything was delicious and we all headed back to Astoria full and content. Would totally go back when we are back in the area to try some more food!!
A true hidden gem. Everything is made fresh, and you can taste it right away. The in-house baked bread is outstanding, and the sandwiches are creative, high-quality, and absolutely delicious. The homemade broccoli and pea soups are flavorful and comforting. Their coffees and baked books are extraordinary. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff—highly recommend (just don’t make it too crowded 😉).
We ate here all 3 days of our trip to Croton to visit family. The first day was on a whim, and we returned the next two days to try their other menu items. The espresso drinks were fantastic each time, and we loved the Breakfast Sammie and the Avocado Toast. We stopped by a final time on our way out of town to grab a fresh loaf of sourdough, a bag of their coffee beans, and lattes for the road. Cannot recommend highly enough! We will be back each time we’re in town, without a doubt. A great small business to support!
Their oven-roasted turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich on their homemade sourdough bread is INSANE. The best turkey sandwich I’ve had. Made with fresh turkey and this mayo that’s also unreal. I would eat this every week if I lived close by and sit in their adorable sunlit outdoor seating. Cannot wait to come back and get it again and try their pastries, which also look delicious. 5 stars!!!!
Delicious family run bakery. The sourdough is worth the price, and the sandwiches are great. Grab the beet salad when it’s available. As a vegetarian, I get the avocado toast or Breakfast Sammie.
This place is incredible! Such a great selection of sandwiches made on their fresh sourdough. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. They also had such a great selection for baked goods and drinks. This place is a gem.
One of the food gems of northern Westchester! From the sandwiches to the baked goods and of course the bread, everything is fantastic. I’ve come here in all seasons and though it’s a small space you can usually find a spot to sit and eat. The staff are friendly and overall I can’t recommend this place enough! P.S. their little Debbie dupes are divine!
This place is perfect and just what the area needed! If you want a great sandwich, bread, or baked good, look no further than the Hudson Oven. The food here is great and very large portions! You won’t be disappointed. Things to note: might be a long wait time since there is only two people are working in the kitchen so come with patience or order ahead. Also, the parking lot is pretty small!
We were in Croton on the Hudson picking up an item and decided to stop by for breakfast. I’m so glad we did! My husband had the breakfast special sandwich and I had the breakfast burrito. Both were excellent! As we sat outside for about 30 minutes, enjoying our food and the weather, at least a dozen people walked in and out all carrying a loaf of their sourdough bread so of course we had to go get a loaf to bring home. Omg it’s perfect.. crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. We also took home a few baked goods to try but my favorite was the scone. The owner was very pleasant and made the whole experience even better.
Lovely addition to Croton, stopped in here twice on our trip to visit family. Very fast, convenient, locally sourced and nutritious options. We got the breakfast Sammie, burrito and avocado toast with eggs and a bunch of great coffees.
